My research focuses on the convergent evolution of toxin resistance in insects, amphibians and reptiles. By integrating tools of comparative genomics, molecular genetics and biochemistry, I want to understand the genetics of adaptive traits and evaluate the dynamics of adaptation.
Prior to graduate school I went to Peking University in Beijing, China for undergraduate studies, where I gained experience in molecular genetics and functional genomics. I also worked as a part-time photographer and graphic designer in college. Feel free to contact me about science, graduate school, or photography.
