Go to Visit Princeton  (for traveling and getting around town)

Pre-Arrival Information

This information is included in an email sent to new staff members. 

  • Activate your NetID and establish your Princeton email account
  • Set up DUO authentication

On Employment Start Date

  • Self-Service for Benefits Enrollment
  • Direct Deposit
  • W-2 Tax Form

Upon Arrival

  • Go to the building named “New South”   
  • Use our Princeton University Campus Map  
  • Visit Human Resources, 2nd floor, to complete I-9 form 
  • Visit Tiger Card office, A-level, to get your Princeton ID card
  • Visit Parking office, A-level, for access to parking lot
  • Contact Davis International Center, if international student or staff

Arrive at EEB in Guyot Hall

  • Room assignment from your faculty adviser or his/her assistant
  • Orientation with Martha Murdough
  • Building access and Room key(s) from Tina Hansen
  • Faculty lab support and services from faculty assistant

Within Your First Weeks

Information Technology (IT) support upon arrival: Jesse Sanders

  • Access to network, lab printer, copier/scanner, vpn; Register your devices
  • Join EEB email listserv and lab group listserv
  • Hardware / software needs
  • Research computing needs, secure storage for compliance issues
  • Set up Princeton Google drive
  • Access to shared calendars, SharePoint
  • Set up office telephone and voicemail box, if needed

Research Compliance

  • Most EEB research follows compliance guidelines stemming from federal or state regulations and university policies.  We have a team ready to support your research.
